The 4th round of 1/8 Nationals series took place last weekend in Skripov. Organizers prepared nice technical & bumpy track. Traction was quite low, but organizers announced that the track will be watered during the race, so we had all been expecting higher grip for the next day.
In practice both my XB8s felt pretty good and we did only few small changes to get more steering in 180 corners and to get the car little bit easier over the bumps.
There was a short rain in the morning which basically served as watering of the track. In 1/8E qualifications my Hobbywing powered XB8E´17 was on fire and TQed all three rounds, as well as setting track record for a single lap and for a 5-minutes run! 2nd overall got Max Gotzl and 3rd Ales Bidovsky ⓠTOP 3 for XB8E!
In 1/8IC Ales Bidovsky dominated Q1, while Jiri Mara took super close TQ between him, Max and me in Q2 and in the 3rd round my XB8 eventually came on top just few tenths in front of Ales Bidovsky! Overall TQ then went to Ales with my XB8 finishing 2nd and Jiri Mara 3rd!

| In 1/8E finals, I managed to pull away in both A1 and A2 to take the overall win! Last final was a âś3 horse battleâť for the podium between Gotzl, Bidovsky and Mara and in the end it was Ales who came in 2nd and Max finished overall 3rd! |

As the track was getting drier and organizers didn´t water it, grip started to get lower and so we did few changes on my FX powered XB8´17 for the semifinal and it worked out great! I took the win and also gained pole position for the main final with Ales starting 2nd and Jiri 3rd.
For the final, the track was already quite a lot bumpy and grip was very low. However my XB8´17 on PL HoleShot X3 handled great in these conditions and lead the final from start to finish! Overall 2nd place went to Max Gotzl and Jiri Mara finished 3rd!
